Question for Marketing on Florida
We have always loved Portillo's going back to the 1960's in Illinois. Now , living in Lakewood Ranch Fl area we have to drive 45 miles to Brandon.
Why have you not pushed to have a Portillo's in one of Florida's most popular increasing living areas of Lakewood Ranch which sits ring in the east of I-75 between University Parkway and State Roads 70 and 64 a tremendous growing area with thousand of homes going up.
Already Costco and Target and Yale House and other businesses are going in East of I-75 in the last year . Why have you not looked at this area for your great restaurant?
I am not a dissatisfied customer just dissatisfied your are not expanding the the Lakewood Ranch areas of Sarasota.

Bad experience today - others in the past also.
Today, stopped at the location in Elmhurst, IL. Went inside to order for a takeout.
Ordered two beef sandwiches, small fries and a cheese. Also ordered giardiniera on the side. Ordered 2 chocolate cake slices also. Got home and there was no giardiniera.
My beef was so skimpy, that I was going to go back to the restaurant. Too far really to do that. Cooled down a little and ate what we had. My wife calmed me down a little.
Decided to enjoy the cake a litttle after eating - my wife had EGG SHELLS in her cake! We threw them in the trash. What the *** is happening Portillos??? I have had issues in the past a few times with wrong orders in the store and bad attitude employees.
It also seems like the skins on the hot dogs are not what they used to be. Can't hardly bite through them!
Portillos - you are losing a long-time Bewarecustomer. Better wake up!

Portilllos writes on their web page, We want to hear from you.
Yet it is Impossible to leave any comment or talk to any one by phone or email. They truly don't want to hear from their customers.
For 5 months they send me emails .
. . NOT ONE email can I use or does it entice me or family members to their establishment.
Most of them are all about catering. We stopped going there.
Forgot they even exist, except for the obnoxious emails they send out weekly.
Actually, the emails backfire and because do not go there anymore.
I've noticed driving by (several locations, in my MN area) business looks down, by lack of autos in their parking lots. Not surprised.

Italian beef sandwiches were okay. But not so the chocolate cake!
Not as moist as previously plus skimpy on the frosting. I know chocolate cake and this was a big disappointment. When a large corporation buys a restaurant, they only look at the bottom line to achieve maximum profit. Recipes get changed to achieve this.
Unfortunately, Portillo's is no longer what it once was. Too many mistakes with orders and management refuses to take responsibility. So short sighted!!!
